Hello dear readers. Wanna know what I love the most about autumn? Could it be its beautiful shades of red and orange?, or maybe pumpkin spice everything? Well, eventhough I am a big fan of warm tones (I mean, just take a look at my instagram feed) and I love pumpkin pies and lattes, my favorite thing about this chill weather is....you might have guessed it at this point; the clothes.
With the summer season now being a distant memory, the time has come to take note on the new autumn-winter 2019 trends!
Giant Bags
After a long time spent cramming only our very essential items into the teeniest, tiniest totes our phones would fit in, come autumn/winter our handbag-lip-balm-count will return as some of the coolest brands on the schedule dub it time to revisit practicality.
Check it out!
Last season saw basic shape prints like polka dots or stripes, which prove popular, but this season the trend has been pared down to something somewhat more manageable. Essentially one single print, by autumn we'll all be re-investing in checks - we'll just be mixing the colours together a bit.
Soft Ruffles
Ruffles have been on trend for quite a few time, and this season will not be the exception. The difference this time relies on the size of the ruffles. We are leaving the exagerate and over the top accent behind, and keeping it soft, simple and delicate. Ruffles bring out any common outfit, turning it instantly interesting. You can wear a ruffled blouse with big puffy sleeves or a wavy skirt that creates volume and curves.
On point
The colder seasons always call in for boots, and this season's footwear focus is all about the pointed toe creating a sharper aesthetic.
Corduroy Suits
Corduroy has been making a subtle comeback over the last six months or so, but double that time-frame and I am predicting it will have truly reached the masses. Opt for loose-fitting incarnations for a casual look, and high-waisted flared trousers with a nipped-waist jacket of an evening.
